CFESA (Certified Food Equipment Service Association) is the nationally recognized credentialing body for commercial kitchen equipment technicians. Employers across the country use CFESA certification as the benchmark when hiring and promoting service technicians.

Required for refrigeration work
EPA Section 608 Certification Resources
EPA 608 certification is federally required to purchase and handle refrigerants. The following organizations provide testing, exam access, or HVAC training for people in the Atlanta metropolitan area. Testing arrangements, fees, schedules, and available certification types can change — contact each provider directly before registering.
Atlanta-area providers
EPA-approved online & remote options
These organizations appear on the EPA's current approved Section 608 certification-program list and offer remote or online testing accessible from Atlanta.
EPA 608 certification levels: Type I (small appliances), Type II (high-pressure), Type III (low-pressure), and Universal (all three types plus Core). Universal certification requires passing the Core and all three Type examinations. Only organizations on the EPA's official list may be described as "EPA-approved certifying organizations."
