Is the Rational combi-oven covered in this course?

Basic combi-oven principles are introduced, but the Steamers course provides deeper coverage of combi-oven steam systems. Taking both courses gives you a complete picture of combi-oven service.

No prior experience is required. Our courses are designed for complete beginners as well as restaurant staff who want to formalize their skills. The Electrical Fundamentals course is a great starting point if you have no technical background.

Each course runs for one week of intensive, hands-on instruction. Classes meet Monday through Friday at our Atlanta training center at 510 Jones Ave NW.

What certification do I receive after completing a course?

Graduates receive a Certificate of Completion in Commercial Kitchen Equipment Repair from Metro Star Mechanical Training Center. The 12-week program also prepares students for EPA 608 certification (required for refrigerant handling) and CFESA industry credentials.

Class sizes are capped at 25 students to ensure every student gets hands-on time with the equipment. Seats fill quickly — we recommend enrolling at least 4 weeks before your target start date.
