Student Enrollment Agreement

This Student Enrollment Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into between Metro Star Mechanical Training Center ("School"), located at 510 Jones Ave NW, Atlanta, GA 30314, and the student ("Student") who accepts this Agreement during the enrollment process. By completing enrollment and submitting payment, Student acknowledges having read, understood, and agreed to all terms and conditions set forth herein.

1. Program Description & Tuition

Metro Star Mechanical Training Center offers a 12-Week Commercial Kitchen Equipment Repair Training Program consisting of nine one-week courses. Each course focuses on a specific category of commercial kitchen equipment and is delivered through hands-on, instructor-led training at the School's Atlanta, GA facility.

Tuition per course: $1,000.00 (USD), due in full at the time of enrollment.
Included: All course materials, tools for in-class use, and a Certificate of Completion upon successful graduation.
Payment: Processed securely through GoDaddy Payments. Enrollment is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment.

Financing options may be available through third-party providers. Financing terms are governed solely by the financing provider and are separate from this Agreement. Visit our Financing page for details.

2. Refund & Cancellation Policy

Cancellation 14 or more days before class start: Full refund of tuition, less a $50 administrative processing fee.
Cancellation 7–13 days before class start: 50% refund of tuition.
Cancellation fewer than 7 days before class start: No refund. Student may, at the School's discretion, transfer enrollment to a future session one time at no additional charge.
No-show / failure to attend: No refund. No transfer credit.
School-initiated cancellation: If the School cancels a session, a full refund will be issued or Student may transfer to the next available session.

3. Attendance Requirements

Each course is one week in duration. Students are expected to attend all scheduled sessions. Attendance is tracked daily.

Students who miss more than one (1) day of a one-week course may be required to re-enroll in a future session to receive a Certificate of Completion.
Students must arrive on time and remain for the full session each day. Repeated tardiness may be treated as an absence at the instructor's discretion.
Students who are dismissed for conduct violations (see Section 6) are not entitled to a refund or makeup session.

4. No Guarantee of Employment or Income

Metro Star Mechanical Training Center provides vocational training in commercial kitchen equipment repair. The School makes no guarantee, express or implied, of employment, job placement, or any specific level of income or earnings upon completion of the program.

Career outcome data, salary ranges, and employment statistics referenced on the School's website or in marketing materials are provided for informational purposes only and reflect general industry data. Individual results will vary based on factors including geographic market, prior experience, effort, and economic conditions.

5. Photo & Video Release

By enrolling, Student grants Metro Star Mechanical Training Center a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to photograph and/or video-record Student during training activities for use in educational materials, marketing, social media, and promotional content.

Students who do not wish to be photographed or recorded must notify the School in writing prior to the first day of class. The School will make reasonable efforts to accommodate such requests.

6. Code of Conduct & Student Responsibilities

Students are expected to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully at all times while on School premises or participating in School activities. The following behaviors may result in immediate dismissal without refund:

Harassment, discrimination, or threatening behavior toward staff or other students.
Theft, vandalism, or intentional damage to School equipment or property.
Reporting to class under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances.
Violation of safety protocols during hands-on training exercises.
Sharing, reproducing, or distributing proprietary course materials without written consent.

Students are responsible for the cost of any equipment or property damaged through negligence or intentional misuse during training.

7. Student Records & Privacy (FERPA)

Metro Star Mechanical Training Center maintains student education records in accordance with applicable federal and state law, including the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), 20 U.S.C. § 1232g.

Students have the right to inspect and review their education records maintained by the School.
Students have the right to request amendment of records they believe to be inaccurate or misleading.
The School will not disclose personally identifiable information from a student's education records without written consent, except as permitted by FERPA (e.g., to school officials with legitimate educational interest, or as required by law).
Students have the right to file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Education concerning alleged failures to comply with FERPA.

8. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Georgia. Any dispute arising out of or related to this Agreement shall first be submitted to good-faith mediation before either party may pursue litigation. Venue for any legal proceedings shall be Fulton County, Georgia.

9. Entire Agreement

This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties with respect to Student's enrollment and supersedes all prior representations, negotiations, or understandings, whether oral or written. The School reserves the right to update these terms; material changes will be communicated to enrolled students in writing.
